South West Lakes Trust
South West Lakes Trust has five Watersports Centres across Devon, Cornwall and West Somerset, where you can learn to sail, windsurf, kayak and row, hire equipment or launch your own craft. During the summer each centre is open daily for tuition, hire and launch with extended hours some evenings to make the most of the longer days.Roadford Lake on the Devon / Cornwall border is the SWLT’s largest lake for watersports. At the lake you can enjoy a range of water based activities including sailing, rowing and multi-activity days. There is also a campsite nearby and a restaurant on the opposite side of the lake. Wimbleball Lake sits high on Exmoor and enjoys some spectacular views. Its vast expanse of water provides excellent sailing and windsurfing along with kayaking and rowing for all the family. Email Wimbleball directly on wimbleball@swlakestrust.org.uk
The watersports centre at Upper Tamar Lake - on the Cornwall, Devon border - offers sailing, windsurfing and kayaking for individuals, families and groups. The peaceful campsite is an ideal base for exploring North Cornwall and North Devon and is perfect for families, groups and couples.
